PiZap online photo editor and collage maker

Software photo editors are great, but they can run quite a bit of money, especially if you go with something like the top-of-the-line Photoshop suite. However, there are a number of free online apps you can use to do much of the same thing. One of my favorites is called PiZap and it comes with a cool feature that is lacking in some of the others — creating collages.
The app requires Flash, which could be considered a detriment these days, but it works well for this. When you reach the home screen you can simply click the “Start” button and it will take you to screen that offers several options. You can sign up for an account, but it isn’t necessary to use the service.
- Make a collage
- Edit a photo
- Timeline covers
- WebCam effects
We are interested, for purposes of this post, in making a collage, so that is the option to click. You will be greeted with a number of configurations from which you cn choose, and it depends somewhat on the number of images you plan to include within the collage. You can also selct the shape of the images — squares, circle, hearts, etc.
Choose your shape and a screen will prompt you to add an image into each position within it.
Once you are done you can save the file to the piZap site, share it via social media, or simply download it to your computer for your own use.
