Windows 7 User Themes Added to Personlization Gallery

Not long ago Microsoft announced that users could submit their own Windows 7 themes to the Windows 7 Personalization gallery. They have already received more than a thousand submissions from users. There’s still time to get your photos in, though, by visiting the Windows 7 Personalization Gallery Open Call website. If you aren’t familiar with it, the program allows users to submit their photos to be included in Windows 7 themes.
Microsoft has done a great job of releasing Windows 7 themes that coincide with current events like holidays, season, and movie and game releases. They have also released many other themes that display spectacular photography from all over the globe, but this is the first time that they have openly requested work from users. It’s a great opportunity to get your work out there in front of millions of people.
Now Microsoft has announced some of the works they have chosen to add to their Windows 7 Personalization Gallery. Below are pictures and links of those Microsoft has chosen in their first wave.
Aidan Finn of Ireland submitted some beautiful photography of raptors – birds of prey, and one of my favorite subjects for wildlife photography. You can download it from raptors in the Windows 7 Personalization Gallery.
Piotr Furman added some close-up shots of Poland’s natural world in the theme natural world.
Georgina Chitac, of Romania, added the wistful Hopes and Dreams theme.
Microsoft is still accepting photos to be added to their ever-growing Windows 7 Personalization Gallery. You can head over to the Open Call site to learn more and submit your own work.
