Windows Home Server has become a popular, but still somewhat niche product, with a core group of users.  While there was a lot of grumbling about the removal of some features with the release of WHS 2011, the talk has died away, and it has once again become known as a solid offering with a lot of great features.  More importantly, it’s likely the future of the home, with more and more families having multiple computers and more sophisticated home networks, with media streaming reaching the entire household.

Now Viridian PC, makers of energy-efficient servers, have announced the availability of two new models, the VS-5HA and VS-4HA.  You can actually get a Viridian Server with no operating system or with any Microsoft server OS you prefer.

The VS-5HA has 5 drive bays and a sleek look.  The VS-4HA, obviously, has 4 drive bays.  Even the top-of-the-line tricked-out unit uses only 45 watts.  Both models sport Intel processors, along with solid hardware and “Both servers are available pre-installed with Windows Home Server 2011, carry a list of options that include memory upgrades, e-SATA ports, mirrored system drives, data drives and hot-swappable redundant power supplies.”

You can check out full line of servers by visiting Viridian PC.
