Never Lose Your Tabs In Firefox

If you frequently have multiple tabs open in Firefox and fear losing them then there is some hope.  There’s nothing worse than being in the middle of your research for a story or school project and having Firefox close, losing all of those sites you spent time finding.

There is one solution, TabCloud, which gives the user a lot of options, such as saving multiple tab profiles.  It’s not complicated, but it’s also not completely simple and can be confusing at times.  It requires the installation of an extension in Firefox (it also works with Chrome and Android) and a Gmail account.  It has the advantage of being able to sync tabs across multiple computers and browsers.  We took a look at TabCloud not long ago.

But if you just want a simple solution for Firefox then it happens to be built right in.  Click the Tools menu and choose Options.  On the General tab, under Startup, there is dropdown box that contains the options Show my homepage, Show a blank page, and Show my windows and tabs from last time.  Choose Show my windows and tabs from last time then click OK.  Now when you close Firefox or it crashes you tabs will be saved and automatically repopulate the next time Firefox is launched.
