mSpot – A Great New Music Service

mSpot is a cool new music site/software program that allows you to upload your music to their cloud and then stream it from any location via PC, Mac, or mobile device.
You start off by downloading and installing their software to the PC where your music in stored. Once you run it, it will begin sorting through your music, beginning with your “favorites” – your playlists and most recently listened to tracks. You will have to sign up for a free account, but it just requires an email address and password.
Once installed it will give you the option to upload your music library and it recognizes both Windows Media Player and iTunes. Of course, depending on the size of your library, it can take (quite) a while to upload your music. But once it’s done you will have a simple web interface that allows you to pick and choose all of your music.
There are mobile apps available for Blackberry, iPhone, Windows Mobile, Android (1.6 or greater), and Palm. One problem I notice was that it’s VERY hard to find the mobile page.
Once you have all of your music uploaded, and your mobile sorted out, then everything works pretty smoothly. There’s nothing better than having all of your music available wherever you are.
