With all of the recent hype surrounding Boxee this seemed a good time to discuss running Boxee from “within” Windows Media Center.  For those who don’t know, Boxee is a free media aggregator.  From within Boxee you can access many online video services such as ABC, CNN, CBS, Comedy Central, Netflix, MLB, etc.  Not to mention content from YouTube, Flickr and Pandora just to name a few.

1. Download Boxee HERE and install it.

2. Next download this .zip file and extract it to you Boxee directory (probably “C:\Program Files\Boxee)

3. Right-click and choose Run as Administrator to launch the file “installBoxee.cmd.”

4. Close all windows and launch Media Center.

5. A link for Boxee should now appear in Picture+Video.
