Website Review – Soocial

Soocial is a new website/software that allows you to syn contacts across multiple formats, computers and phones. It’s currently available for Windows, MAC, Outlook, iPhone, Blackberry, Android, Windows Mobile, Nokia, Windows Live, Gmail, Yahoo and several others.
I have installed, and been using, it with Gmail and Windows Mobile 6.1 and it has successfully synced up my contacts between the two with no problems. Thanks to syncing my phone and my wife’s, over time, some contacts had become mixed. Soocial allowed me to go through the contacts on the their website after the initial sync and delete any that were not mine. Then I re-synced both Gmail and my phone and it cleaned up both perfectly.
Gmail automatically syncs (daily, as far as I can tell), but the Windows Mobile app requires you to open it and manually sync.
Connections were easy to set up. Gmail required just a couple of clicks to be up and running. It also emailed me a file containing all of my contact information before the first sync – just in case something went wrong.
The service is still very new, and I’ve only been running it for a few days, but everything seems to be working as advertised so far.
